First I have a confession to make. Chiropractors have always made me nervous. To tell you the truth I was scared of them. I was having problems with my shoulder for about a year and a half. Cortisone shots and inflammatory medications no longer worked. I finally was making me hunch my shoulder to try to protect it. A couple of months after my surgery having physical therapy did not improve the tightness in my neck, I finally consented to see a chiropractor. I was very nervous, but Dr. Speiser was very kind and reassuring. I liked the fact that he wanted X-rays taken first before he worked on me, so he could see what he would be dealing with. Dr. Speiser has worked on my neck and now I have full range of motion. My next problem was that I had restless leg syndrome, where my legs would jerk at night, causing me to have a very restless night's sleep. I still have to go back for follow-ups, but one treatment and I am fine for a while. I can’t tell you that I am no longer scared of going to a chiropractor since I don’t know how they all do their adjusting, but I will tell you one thing Dr. Speiser is very gentle and caring.
I’m a retired CNA I worked 37 years as a caregiver. My neck & shoulders were always in pain my left shoulder was very stiff almost frozen. I could not reach or raise my arms above my head if I had to rate my pain it was at times an 8 on a good day it would be a 4-5 rating a constant pain for me for many years. It prevented me from reaching high or across for very long periods, sleeping was a tough issue due to discomfort and pain. I tried painkillers, cortisone shots, and a lot of ibuprofen. After 3 treatments with Dr. Speiser, I am now able to raise both arms above my head without pain. The adjustment was painless I feel capable of doing many things I was unable to do due to pain. Thank you! I now sleep more comfortably I spent many years in pain today I feel much better!
It is my pleasure to recommend Dr. Speiser, D.C. as an outstanding professional and an excellent practitioner of Chiropractic. I have known Dr. Speiser for two years as his patient. I have had the pleasure of referring at least one patient to him and recommending his services to our own physicians at Yakama Indian Health Center. When I met Dr. Dale Speiser two years ago, I was in pretty bad shape. I had been to physicians who had loaded me with painkillers and muscle relaxants. One physician referred me to a Rheumatologist who told me “Nothing is wrong”. I had an ultrasound done for a persistent pain in my right side, our physical therapist gave me exercises and a “sleep cast” for the carpal tunnel syndrome in my left wrist. Finally, on a routine chest X-ray, the radiologist noted a subluxation of the L-4 and L-5 vertebral disks. By this time I had continuous shooting pains in my hips and legs, severe carpal tunnel in my left hand, and nearly total numbness in my right foot. I received a flyer for the chiropractic clinic about this time which referred me to subluxation. I decided to give it a try. When I met Dr. Dale Speiser, I was immediately impressed by his congenial and reassuring manner. He spoke to me, not at me, and listened to what I said to him. In my experience, this is one of the hallmarks of a truly caring practitioner. Dr. Speiser diagnosed me on my first visit but made no guarantees. Over the course of my treatment, Dale suggested consulting a neurologist more than once. He gave me exercises and advice on more ergonomic ways to work and move. We didn’t give up. Today I have very little pain in my side. To me, the subsiding of so much pain is tantamount to a miracle. I am pleased and proud to recommend Dr. Dale Speiser, D.C. as an outstanding professional as well as an excellent chiropractor. I would also venture to say he is, perhaps, one of the nicest persons I have ever known.
